Community Meal |
Wednesday July 7th, 2010 The Place of Forsyth County provides a weekly Wednesday noon meal and a monthly senior luncheon in Forsyth County. (The luncheons supplement their surplus and food pantry.) Sunday July 11th, 2010 Choose from the 8-mile I Did It ride or the 25-mile, 63-mile, and 100-mile options. Registration is $40 ($45 if received after July 4, including day of event) and includes a t-shirt, food, water and full mechanical support along the route. The ride is open to anyone 14-years of age or older. |

We currently have 32 volunteer opportunities listed on our website-Lots of them for teenagers 14 and up. Non-profit organizations need volunteers now more than ever! The entire family is welcome at the upcoming Caring Hands Military Card Writing on Wednesday afternoon, July 21st at the Family Center. This is a great volunteer project for children! Tuesday July 27th, 2010 Newborns in Need Cumming chapter meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church, 7620 Lanier Drive. Men and women who can sew, knit, crochet or just cut out and stack fabric are wanted to participate. The group makes various baby items for premature newborns and families in economic need.
