The Cotillion of Forsyth

March 5, 12, 19 and 26

Back for our fifth year in Forsyth County, The Cotillion of South Forsyth is a five week dancing and manners program. We offer social and business instruction in a fun environment! Curriculum includes traditional and modern dances along with etiquette that young people will use their entire lives. All classes and parties will be held at Polo Golf and Country Club on Sunday evenings. Our classes are for 7th-9th graders. Flood Student Missions to hold

‘Glow with the Flow’ 5k

March 4, 2017

Flood student missions will hold their 5th annual road race. The ‘Glow with the Flow’ 5k will take place at the Kids R Kids located at 3835 Johns Creek Pkwy in Johns Creek. The 5K starts at 7:30 PM, and the course is super flat and super fast. The party starts when the sun goes down. There will be a DJ providing high energy, fun music, and glow in the dark items. This race is also doggie friendly! Check in and Same Day Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the 5k race will start at 7:30 p.m. This is a CHIP TIMED race for all participants so everyone gets an accurate time. Custom awards will go to the Overall Male and Female winners, as well as the top 3 in each 5-year age group starting at 10 & under and going through 65+. Proceeds from the race go to Flood Student Missions and their vision of developing Servant Leaders among middle and high school students. Flood is a student led ministry where student leaders engage over 1,000 students from over 20 different schools each year to serve in their local communities. All monies raised will support the ministry and local mission work students do each week in their schools and communities. Atlanta Gladiators Host Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend

South Forsyth High School Student selected as German Student of the Year

Matthew Powell of South Forsyth High School was recently named as the AATG (American Association of Teachers of German)-Georgia Student of the Year. This award comes with a three-week trip to Germany, all expenses paid – valued at over $5,000.00. Matthew will stay with a German family and take advanced German classes at the Goethe Institute. The selection process for this award is quite rigorous. Matthew was required to submit a letter of recommendation from a German teacher, an essay written at home, an essay written on-site, and participate in an interview conducted in German by four college professors. The Student of the Year Award is presented to a student who has demonstrated excellence in the study and promotion of German at a local school and/or in the state of Georgia. Atlanta Braves and Northside Hospital continue partnership at SunTrust Park

The Atlanta Braves are proud to announce today that their partnership with Northside Hospital will continue at SunTrust Park, with an expanded series of game day and community programs. The partnership will include in-ballpark signage, health awareness campaigns and presenting sponsorship of the Matt Kemp bobblehead giveaway on July 14. “We are thrilled that Northside Hospital will have a presence in SunTrust Park, and we look forward to partnering on programs and initiatives that will positively impact our community,” said Atlanta Braves President of Business Derek Schiller.

In the ballpark, Northside Hospital will occupy the center advertising panel on the new BravesVision scoreboard located in center field and standing at 64 feet tall by 121 feet wide. Additionally, Northside Hospital will be featured on the rotational signage behind home plate. Outside of the ballpark, Northside Hospital will collaborate with the Atlanta Braves Foundation as an Official Community Partner, and they will also join two health awareness campaigns that the Braves conduct during the season. On Saturday, June 24, Northside Hospital will again host a night for cancer survivors and their families. On Friday, July 14, the Matt Kemp bobblehead giveaway will be presented by Northside Hospital and available to the first 20,000 fans through the gates. “The Atlanta Braves are gearing up for an exciting future at SunTrust Park.
