Atlanta Plastic Surgery Opens Fourth Location in Cumming

Dr. Hunter Moyer of Emory joins the practice as its seventh surgeon.
CUMMING, GA, - Serving the Atlanta community since 1968 Atlanta Plastic Surgery has been a household name for plastic and reconstructive services in the metro area. With satellite offices in Newnan and Alpharetta, and their main location in Atlanta, the addition of the practice at Northside Forsyth and pioneering surgeon Dr. Hunter Moyer makes this practice one of the largest in the Metro Atlanta.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Moyer attended Georgia Tech and graduated with degrees in electrical and bioengineering. Continuing his education in Atlanta, Moyer received his medical degree from Emory University where he also completed his residencies in general, plastic and reconstructive surgery, all the while serving as affiliate professor at Georgia Tech's Center for Stem Cell Research.
The Cumming office at Northside Hospital Forsyth Medical Campus is set to open July 2 and Moyer is planning for an easy transition.
"Seeing patients is something I love to do, which is why I chose this profession," Moyer said. "I am so lucky that I get to do to work everyday and do what I love," said Moyer.
"We are so excited to welcome Dr. Moyer to the practice, said Dr. Joseph Kerwin Williams, Chief of Plastic Surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Atlanta Plastic Surgery surgeon, "He went through a rigorous interview process and we know he has the type of work ethic that we can count on, we would not have invited him to the practice if he didn't," Williams said.
"Hunter reminds me of my younger self, constantly studying and working," said Dr. L. Franklyn Elliott, Co-chairman of the internationally recognized Breast Surgery Symposium, past President of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and Atlanta Plastic Surgery surgeon. "Having him in Cumming ensures that our patients on the north side get the care they need a little closer to home," Elliott said.
Moyer specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and body and accepts most insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana, Cigna and Coventry just to name a few. He is currently researching breast implants and their side effects at Emory and remains at the cutting edge of the newest plastic surgery procedures and practices.
When he isn't operating Moyer is spending time with his two sons and wife and cheering on his favorite futbol team The Netherlands.
